Flotsam Blog

24th May 2025

Hello!

This is going to be a little blog about my adventures finding things on nature walks and turning them into beautiful pieces of jewellery. There may also be a few photos thrown in of my two little doggies Harry and Audrey who like to run around me; looking confused as to why their mum keeps stopping and looking at the ground instead of marching along with them!

I have lived on the Suffolk coast all my life and have always collected things I find on walks. They usually get put on a shelf to gather dust and never get looked at again!

I decided they deserved to be admired, and so, I started looking for ways to turn these beautiful items into something to be loved and worn and shown off!

Another busy day at Flotsam headquarters. Making a few more pieces of jewellery and spending hours figuring out how to run a website! Its a steep learning curve I can tell ya! Harry and Audrey have been no help at all!

But I will still take them on a lovely walk on the beach later and hope we find some more beautiful things to turn into jewellery.

I am also moving into making other types of jewellery but, finding find shells etc small enough to make into earrings or rings is hard!

I'll update as soon as I think I've made something good enough!
